Eureka!, a summer math/science/sports camp for girls entering grades 7 and 8 held at
North Shore Community College in Lynn. Eureka! is an intense full day, six-week summer
program which operates Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-3:30 pm. The girls spend half their day in
classes participating in hands-on activities and the other half in a personal development
workshop followed by sports and swimming. Girls entering 7th grade study Design
(Architecture and Engineering) and Math in the Patterns & Problem Solving class. Girls entering
8th grade study Environmental Science and Computer Technology. On Fridays the girls
participate in expeditions expanding and enhancing their classroom experiences. Some
expeditions have included visits to MIT’s Edgerton Center; the Harvard School of Design; the
Northeastern Marine Science Center; and the Ipswich Wildlife Sanctuary.
