Bridges A five-week program to help bridge the gap between 8th and 9th grade! This program is held at North Shore Community College JulY - August.
~Academic and Career Exploration~ Through fun, interactive workshops you will learn about time management, the class selection process for high school, and sharpen your research and study skills. We will tour the local high schools and talk with upper classmen about their high school experiences. You will learn several strategies to research information about your current career interest and then create a multimedia presentation on it. You will also learn how to complete a job application and how to create your own resume.
Taking Care of Business Gender Equity, stereotypes, relationships, self-care, decision making, conflict resolution, communication and goal setting are some of the topic we will explore through group discussions, games, role plays and special guest presenters from our teen programs and the greater Lynn community. Field Trips! Every Friday we visit a woman run or owned business in the morning followed by a fun recreational activity in the afternoon. Trips may include visiting Boston's sights, arcades, disco bowling and more!
We will also visit the Girls Inc.Teen Center and hear about teen programs. Sports and Swimming will be happening everyday too!

A one time registration fee of $125 is required. **Scholarships are available.**
Program is held at North Shore Community College at 300 Broad Street.
