Career Path Career Path is a year-round program which offers approximately 25 teens the opportunity to focus on academics while receiving job readiness and life skills training. Intensive job-readiness training includes exploring different career options and preparation for obtaining and maintaining employment. Teens are then able to gain hands-on experience through interactive workshops (for example, computer and communication skills), community service, and a six week paid summer internship. Through participating in Career Path activities, teens become competitive candidates for college, job opportunities, and vocational training after graduating from high school. Academic advising is required of all Career Path members to support success in school. To become eligible for Career Path, teens
must meet the income eligibility guidelines set by the Workforce Investment Act.
(Teens will have to prove that their families meet certain low-income
standards). If you are interested in becoming a member of Career Path please
fill out an application or contact: Omayra Feliz, Career Learning Center
