Program Overview
This program is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) to provide quality care to up to 100 girls at our main site and 52 girls at the Washington School location. This program offers girls ages 6 to 12 (grades 1-6) fun and hands-on enrichment activities during a combination of formal and informal time.
Odyssey is the program for girls in grades 6 to 10 and runs from October through June. Eureka and Bridges are intensive full-day, six week summer programs that take place in July and August. The vision for these programs is to provide a safe pro-girl environment which offers structured enrichment programs and academic support to encourage strong, smart and bold girls of today to emerge as strong, smart and bold women of the future. Mi Vida, Mi Viaje a teen pregnancy prevention case management program for girls starting in grade six follows girls through their senior year at high school.
Girls between the ages of 14 and 18 participate in our teen programs which address the serious issues facing teens, including: early sexual activity, alcohol, drugs, tobacco and racism. These programs offer computer access; one-on-one advising; homework help; job and college preparation, community involvement and mentoring.
All Girls Inc. programs are field tested to ensure their effectiveness and suitability for the age group. Our research-based, informal and fun programs center upon six core content categories:
