Girls Inc. has met all 20 standards for charity accountability with the Better Business Bureau.

Volunteers and Community Partners thanked at September Annual Meeting
Fifteen volunteers received recognition and applause for their many hours of service over the past fiscal year. “Our volunteers have provided an array of expertise for our members,” said Patricia A. Driscoll, Executive Director. “We have had violin instruction, bike maintenance workshops, a mural designed and painted for our game room, tutoring and homework assistance, photography services, fundraising help and several special projects!” The following volunteers were thanked at the meeting: Sheila Vitale, Jim and Ryan Heffrin, Ella Kipervasser, Tara Cleary, Steve Kincaid, Rebecca Schrumm, Margaret Bowen, Jeanne Baranek, Mark MacRae, Joe Greenough, Nelda Sogoloff, Annalisa DiPalma, Penny Billias and Lisa Ward.
Girls Inc. member Gisell and Volunteer Steve at awards evening. Steve has provided many hours of homework and tutoring for members. He recently held a Financial planning workshop for teens.
Community Partners Board President Pam Scott presented awards to Salem Five, Deschamps Printing and North Shore Community College as the 2007 Community Partners for their extraordinary support to Girls Inc. “Our community partners have provided many services, resources and valuable time helping us to grow a healthy future for Girls Inc.,” said Pam.
